Social media went into a frenzy over the weekend in a wedding between Tokunbo’s (TBoss) father, Engineer Vincent Idowu and a younger woman whose pictures went viral.

Exchanges between Mr Idowu and a troll @Ophilia_drank who said he looked like a roasted he goat on his wedding day brought about the uproar that has since gotten everyone talking. The BBNaija ex housemate’s father also laid a curse on whoever will marry Tboss and her siblings. See conversation below:

The trending Nigerian couple of 2017, Adesua and Banky Wellington, are in the news again. This time, the couple decided to share a documentary about their journey to marital life. The documentary premiered on Saturday the 6th of January on Africa magic. In the documentary, Banky W revealed that he did not plan to marry someone in the entertainment industry, however he was star struck after meeting Adesua and knowing the kind of lady she was. He said:“I had two defining moments with Adesua. One was before we started speaking. It was actually when I was stalking her and I saw a video of her and her childhood friends singing worship songs and I felt like this is really refreshing to find someone in our line of work that would readily show this part of them.

“The second part when I knew was when we took a private trip somewhere and it was the first time that she danced with me and at this point, I already knew she was a spiritual girl and a praying woman. But if i can confess, I was a little bit worried that when it comes to the turnups and the fun, I wasnt sure if she would be free like that and the very first time she danced with me, they were playing Rihanna’s ”Work” and she danced with me. Ladies and Gentlemen, once you have the spiritual and physical, you close shop, you move".
He also stated that he met her in 2015 and stalked her Instagram, till he slid into her DM and they became friends. The friendship is what has blossomed into one of the sweetest love stories in the Nigeria entertainment industry.

Adesua also shared her side of the story, stating that she also did not plan to get married to an entertainer, however, she realized later on, that they both wanted the same things in a family.

The 'woju' crooner, Kiss Daniel, has decided to set sail on his own ship. He has publicly declared his 4-year contract termination with G-worldwide entertainment. His latest album, 'New Era' was produced under this label. He mentioned that all was well with the record label, but he has decided to set up one of his own. In his own words: "All is set for the take-off of FLY BOY. I.N.C which which is my label. This implies that all activities regarding Kiss Daniel will be carried out under this new arrangement" . The singer also thanked his fans for their loyal support. He also thanked his former record label for the platform given to him to make wave in the music industry.

Popular Wazobia FM O.A.P; Nedu, and fast rising comedian; EmmaOhMyGod, seem to be involved in some personal clash of recent. The speculations began shortly after an Instagram video was released by EmmaOhMyGod, in which he pleaded with Nedu to stay off his back, and also threatened hell if he refused to do so. He also mentioned that he wasn't one for social media brawls, however, he had reached his limit with what nedu allegedly did to him.

In response to EmmaOhMyGod, nedu also released a video on Instagram, expressing his dissapointment in the comedian, and also calling out his lack of maturity in handling the current situation. The cause of conflict between the two comedians is yet to be identified, however reports have it that Nedu seems to have started the disagreement.

Davido has been arrested for further questioning, over the death of one of his close pals; Tagbo, after autopsy results reveal that he died of suffocation.

It was also alleged that he(Tagbo) died in Davido's car. Further investigations reveal that Tagbo's body was dumped by davido's driver and two other mutual friends in his car and left at the hospital premises. Speaking on the incident, Davido claims his Alibi to be the DNA club, located on the island.

Accusing fingers have also been pointed at him, coming from popular actress; Caroline Danjuma, who claimed davido was responsible for the incident and advised him to own up to the crime. It was also revealed through the actress' twitter page that two other friends of davido; DJ Olu and Chima Amaechi were found dead in DJ Olu's car in an underground garage, three days after Tagbo's death.

The commissioner, Edgar Imohini, in a press conference held today in Lagos, announced that the star was being 'invited' for questioning.

A man at the scene told witnesses that his fridge exploded on the seventh floor in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The first calls were placed to emergency services at 12.54am and fire fighters arrived six minutes later Despite the rapid response time, the building was well alight by the time rescuers arrived, with some saying it went up 'like tissue paper'. Questions are being asked about whether the cladding was to blame Chaos and a cacophony of screaming children Chaos and confusion swept through the tower block as its residents were woken up by sirens, screams and the smell of acrid smoke. Mrs Lamrini said: 'The sound of children begging for help as they were trapped in the upper floors is something I will never be able to forget. 'It was a cacophony of anguished screams, horrendous to listen to. It was traumatising – their voices, their high pitched voices – I could hear them screaming for their lives.' Within minutes, it became clear that the advice to residents to stay in their flats until help arrived was beginning to cost lives. Some had left their flats but been ordered back inside by emergency services, it was reported. Witnesses watched helplessly as people trapped in smoke-filled flats took it in turns to suck breaths of air through windows designed to open only fractionally. Mobile phones used as torches to signal help Trapped residents flashed torches, their mobile phones and even fairy lights from their windows in a desperate attempt to attract the attention of rescuers. One witness said: 'People were taking in turns to get air from the window, and flashing their phones, and then the fire just took them. You could hear people yelling from the top, 'Help, get my children out!' and you are just standing there, and watching people die, burning…' Miracle of the baby caught in a blanket Mrs Lamrini said: 'A woman shouted down frantically for someone to help her baby. A man came with a blanket and waited down below. Amazingly he caught the baby, which looked OK. The child was about 11 months old. 'But one middle-aged man came down from a long way up, and landed on the floor with an awful thump. I don't think the paramedics could do anything for him, he came from so high.' Desperate residents jump to their deaths It is believed the first five people to be confirmed dead were those who had jumped or fallen. One resident wept as he described how people 'just threw their kids out, screaming 'save my children'.' Another said his mother stepped over a dead body to escape the building. One man claimed he saw a child who was on fire leap from the 22nd floor, adding: 'He walked to the window, and he jumped.' Another witness, Mahad Egal, said he saw children being thrown from the building, adding: 'It was rapid, the fire was growing well out of control. There is only the stairs, which is smoke, it's dark, it's scary, it's a trip hazard. There are elderly, there are children, there's disabled people. People were jumping out of the place, there is a man who threw two of his children.' Another resident, called Zara, said she saw a mother with a boy who looked about five at a fifth or sixth floor window. She told LBC: 'She actually threw her son out of the window. I think he's OK.' Such was the desperation of people trapped inside by the smoke and flames that they even tried to construct makeshift parachutes from bin bags.
