ISIS have published images ahead of the World Cup in Russia in the summer which says "victory will be ours" along with some gruesome images.

Terrorist group Daesh have issued another threat against Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's lives for the World Cup in Russia this summer. In October of last year, they released a poster which depicted Messi and Neymar dead on the ground. There were also images released of a caricatured Messi behind bars with blood streaming from his face and they threatened violence in Russia during the summer.

Now, ISIS have released new images with a warning that says: "the ground will be filled with your blood". Along with the Russian World Cup's logo, Messi and Ronaldo are seen in the photo in gruesome fashion. Also, a second poster shows a militant of the terrorist group carrying what appears to be an explosive device into a stadium. That poster reads: 'FIFA World Cup Russia 2018: the victory will be ours'.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be played in 11 Russian cities between June 14th and July 15th, with the final being played at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

Manchester City  are English Premier League champions after Manchester United lost 1-0 to relegation threatened West Brom at Old Trafford on Sunday.

On a day that United put in another flat performance with Pogba being substituted at half time, City will lift the title for the third time in seven years. 

Only last week, United defeated their city rivals at the Etihad stadium after coming from behind to stun the home fans who were in high spirits expecting to lift the trophy by after leading 2-0 at half time but goals from Pogba and Smalling delayed the celebrations.

Today, they have been confirmed Premier league champions after United lost in front of their home fans to the bottom club and City defeated Tottenham at Wembley yesterday.

Congratulations to Pep and his team for their brand of football and an interesting season finale.

Manchester City have three players on the six-man shortlist for the Professional Footballers' Association Players' Player of the Year.

Midfielders David Silva and Kevin de Bruyne, and winger Leroy Sane represent the Premier League leaders on the list.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who have scored of 29 and 25 league goals respectively, are also nominated.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea completes the shortlist.

Kane, 24, is also up for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

Among his rivals for that prize is 17-year-old Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon.

Sessegnon, who made his debut for England Under-21s against Ukraine last month, is the first player from outside the top flight to be nominated since the awards began in 1983.

The six-man young players' list also contains three City players, with 22-year-old Germany international Sane nominated alongside England forward Raheem Sterling, 23, and Brazil goalkeeper Ederson Moraes, 24.

Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford, 20, completes the list.

To be eligible for the award, players must be 23 or under at the beginning of the season.

The winners for both awards, voted for by PFA members, will be announced at a ceremony at London's Grosvenor House on 22 April.

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante won the 2016-17 player of the year award, while Tottenham's Dele Alli was voted best young player for the second season in a row.

KEVIN DE BRYUNE

Belgium international De Bruyne has played a pivotal role in Manchester City's march towards their third Premier League title, with Pep Guardiola's side 13 points clear going into this weekend's fixtures.

His range of passing, crossing and set-piece deliveries have been a key part of City's armoury. He has provided more assists (15) and created more chances (102) than any other player in the Premier League this season and has also scored 11 goals.

The 26-year-old joined City for a then club record fee of £55m in 2015.

DAVID DEGEA

De Gea has appeared in the PFA's team of the year four times in the past five years.

And the 27-year-old Spain international has been in excellent form again this season, keeping 16 clean sheets in 32 league games - the most in the top flight.

He also has the highest save percentage, stopping 80% of shots faced, which ranks third in Europe's top five leagues (England, France, Italy, Germany and Spain).

HARRY KANE

This is the fourth year in a row in which Kane has been up for both awards.

With 25 league goals so far, Kane has enjoyed another prolific campaign. He is attempting to become the first player since former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry to finish as the Premier League's top scorer for a third consecutive season, though he is four behind Salah as it stands.

This is the fourth successive campaign Kane has broken the 20-goal mark. Only three other players have managed that feat in the Premier League - Alan Shearer (1993-94 to 1996-97 for Blackburn and Newcastle), Henry (2001-02 to 2005-06 for Arsenal) and Sergio Aguero (2014-15 to 2017-18 for Manchester City)

MOHAMMED SALAH

Salah has scored 29 goals in 33 league games for Jurgen Klopp's free-scoring Liverpool side.

The Egyptian is four clear of Kane in the race for the golden boot and has directly contributed to 50 goals in all competitions this season.

The 25-year-old's goals and assists have earned the Reds 15 points - more than any other Premier League player. He has been involved in 51% of his side's 75 league goals, again more than any other player.

He also scored in both legs of Liverpool's 5-1 aggregate victory over Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals.

LEROY SANE

Sane is enjoying a fine second season at Etihad Stadium, having from Schalke for £46.5m in 2016.

Central to Guardiola's attacking blueprint is width, pace and elusive running. Sane has scored 13 goals and provided 16 assists in his 44 appearances for the Blues this term.

DAVID SILVA

Nicknamed 'Merlin' by team-mates and supporters, Silva remains key to City's free-flowing style eight years and more than 300 appearances after joining the club from Valencia.

The 32-year-old Spain midfielder has created 14 goals to help propel City towards a fifth top-flight title and his pass completion rate of 89% is the highest of any attack-minded player in the Premier League.

The PFA Players' Player of the Year will be awarded in London on 22 April

It is exciting to witness the drama the last day of the transfer window brings; the suspense, intrigue and the charades that envelopes it.
Teams have strengthened their squad by adding one or two Players this winter. We've seen Coutinho move from Liverpool to Barcelona, Van Dijk move from Southampton to Liverpool, Aymeric Laporte from Athletico Bilbao to Man City, Emerson from Roma to Chelsea, Ahmed Musa from Leicester to CSKA Moscow, amongst several others. We will surely be seeing some new signings today being the last day of  the transfer window.
 The latest from Arsenal is the Merry-Go-Round that surrounds their transfer deadline.
Having already parted ways with Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez to Everton and Man United respectively, they needed to reinforce. Although, Mkhitaryan, Man United out of favour Midfielder, was a part of the deal (Sanchez), Arsené Wenger still needed to seek for a like to like Alexis's type of Player, who he believed to be Aubameyang.
No doubt about this, that the Gabonese Born Striker who plights his football in Dortmund, will fill the vacuum Alexis has left.
Now, here is the twist;
Dortmund is said to be ready to do Business with Arsenal for Aubameyang only if they get a replacement. They have seen a replacement in Chelsea's Batshuayi. Chelsea who is willing to loan out Batshuayi wants a replacement  and they see Arsenal's Giroud as one who can fill the mould of what they are looking for.
Wenger on the other hand, doesn't want Giroud to leave, or even to a rival team (Chelsea). He would prefer to loan/ sell him abroad but, it is hard to see how he can stay once Aubameyang is confirmed (which looks like the case). The Player (Giroud) on the other hand is keen on Chelsea move.
Aubameyang medicals has been penciled for today (transfer deadline day).It is said that Batshuayi is set to be loaned to Dortmund, while Giroud to Chelsea look sealed for a region of £18-£20m.

The super Eagles of Nigeria are to lock Horns against the three Lions of England on Saturday June 2nd (5.15pm), at the Wembley Stadium, in a Previous FIFA World Cup International friendly.
Get excited football fans! It’s already 2018, and that means the World Cup is just around the corner. Nothing excites me more about Super Eagles preparation to the World Cup than this News of the friendly match with England. I have actually been worried for our Player's form lately (in their respective Clubs), and all I have been looking forward to seeing is a Proper friendly match that could put us in shape before the tournament kick off in June 14. I am not so worried that we wouldn't be qualifying out of what I term the Group of Death, but little details could cost us not going through to the second round.
After having qualified in a tough Group that comprises of Algeria, Zambia and Cameroon, all hopes have been raised for Super Eagles to do exceedingly well at the World Cup. Some weeks before World Cup draws were made (14h of November, 2017), Super Eagles came from behind to demolish Argentina 4-2. The World was stunned, and all eyes were immediately focused on the Nigeria said to be the youngest squad to be featuring in 2018 World Cup in Russia.

On December 1st, 2017- (World Cup DRAW Day), fate brought Argentina against Nigeria AGAIN! And to complete the Group D, Iceland and Croatia were announced. There is no way Argentina wouldn't be looking forward to revenge the last humiliation. Nigeria should also be wary of the star studded Croatian team. The underdog Iceland, are the team that eliminated England in the last European Cup in France. That should be a warning sign.
Three Lions of England in Group G; Belgium, Tunisia and Panama will definitely want to use Super Eagles Pedigree in preparing for the African team in their Group. And this will no doubt make us prepare for our first game (Croatia) as well.

It is no news that Arsenal star, Alexis Sanchez, is heading away from Arsenal to a club where he will seemingly be guaranteed silverware, and one club he has his mind set on is Manchester City, who he has been flirting with since the arrival of Pep Guardiola.
There has been plenty of rumours linking him to PSG lately while Arsenal's fierce London rivals, Chelsea, are also said to be interested. However, reliable sources have confirmed there have been some negotiation going on with Manchester City, which is expected to be around £30M, where he could re-unite with his former coach (at Barcelona), and the Citizens want it to be finalized and announced latest next week.


Arsenal boss, Arsené Wenger, on the other hand, would want a replacement to fill the vacuum Alexis Sanchez will leave, before sanctioning a sale. Prolific Strikers such as; Dortmund's want-away Gabon International, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Inter-Milan's top scorer & Captain Mauro Icardi and Manchester City's forward Aguero, have all been linked in recent weeks. Whether it would be done before Sanchez finally signs for Manchester City remains to be unseen.
Arsené Wenger is not likely to entertain any negotiations from Man City until after the first leg of the EFL Cup Semi Final match with Chelsea (scheduled on Wednesday 10 Jan) is played.

The Question now is, will Alexis sign in January for Arsenal to get £20m (and he gets a £15m signing Bonus), or sign for free in July (summer) and get a £30m signing Bonus, leaving Arsenal with nothing to get out of him?
While it would seem a smarter business decision to cash in on Sanchez through this window, it wouldn't be a shock if Arsenal and Wenger decide to let the Chilean run down his contract and leave for free in the summer. One of the season's intriguing transfer plots looks set to come to a painful conclusion either way for Gunners faithfuls.

Having already won the Romelu Lukaku battle against Chelsea counterpart, Antonio Conte, it seems that Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho will be sharpening his sword and readying to go once again in a transfer tussle with the Italian as both clubs seem to have registered an interest in Roma ace, Radja Nainggolan.

Mourinho and Manu Utd have turned their attentions to Nainggolan after Spurs rebuffed their approach for midfielder Eric Dier. Mourinho will hope to complete a transfer for the Belgian midfielder, who could cost as much as 40million pounds. However, the Roma midfield enforcer has been previously linked to Chelsea; and Conte knows him well from his time in Italy; and he could be tempted to make a move for the player which would see he and Mourinho in another transfer tussle.

It's TRANSFER SEASON! Every football fan's favourite preseason period; spending most of the time trying to differentiate between click-bait rumours and actual rumours on players linked to your club. And then when the deal is finally completed, the joy of bragging to opposition fans on how great a season your club just made and how he would tear payint absolutely destroy opposition defenders.

Well before a transfer is complete, a player is required to sell off his soul for a stipulated amount of time sign a contract binding him to the club. However, as in every contract, there are terms and conditions (which we know nobody reads anyway lol). Some of the terms include: length of contract, wage to be earned (definitely the best part :D) etc. These contracts often contain clauses; which are special provisions in the contract based on certain conditions. So let's get right to explaining some of the transfer related clauses.

1. The Release Clause

The release clause is simply a clause in a player's contract which stipulates a specified amount which must be accepted by the player's club is an offer is made. If a club makes a bid matching a player's release clause, the player's club must automatically accept the bid and give the player permission to speak with the interested club. Not every player contract has a release clause, sometimes they are inserted due to the request of the player's agent. Most clubs set the release clauses for their star players as high as possible. However, release clauses have also led to some bargain buys; as seen when Bayern signed Mario Gotze from league rivals Dortmund for about 37 million euros.

2. The Buy-Back Clause

The buy-back clause, usually inserted into a contract by the selling club, is a provision which allows the selling club to buy the player back at a stipulated amount at any time during his time at this new club. It is mostly utilized when the selling club believes the player will eventually come good in future and would not want to engage in a transfer tug of war when the time comes. So basically, any player being sold with the option of a buy back clause can be seen as a glorified loan.

3. The First Option Clause

Also usually used by the selling club, the first option clause is a stipulation which mandates the player's new club club to inform the selling club of any offers received for the player in question during his time at the club. So when a club signs a player with a first option clause, they must inform his former club of any transfer offers for that player; at which point the former club must then decide whether they want to buy the player back or not, before the transfer can be sanctioned. If the former club decides to re-sign the player, the club must then go into mandatory negotiations with them. If they decide against signing the player, then the club may proceed negotiations with other interested parties.

4. Percentage on next sale

This clause allows the selling club to make an agreed sum of money from the transfer fee in the instance of a future transfer of the player away from the buying club. The buying club must remit the stipulated percentage back to the selling club if the player in question is sold to another club. This however does not come into play if the player is sold back to the selling club.

Manchester United have completed the signing of Benfica defender Victor Lindelof   Lindelof completed his move to Old Trafford on Wednesday after passing a medical Mourinho believes Lindelof will add depth to his defensive line for next season, with the side competing in the Champions League. Lindelof will be expected to help bolster United's defensive line ahead of the new season 'Victor is a very talented young player, who has a great future ahead of him at United,' added Mourinho. 'Our season last year showed us that we need options and quality to add depth to the squad and Victor is the first to join us this summer.  'I know that our fantastic group of players will welcome him as one of us.'
