Champions League is back!
February 13, 2018The excitement that comes with the atmosphere of Champions League Football, is always so intoxicating, more so; the Knock Out stages.
The Group Stage, which was completed in the first week of December, separated the ‘Boys from the Men’. Now, sixteen teams remain in the hunt for the Biggest Prize in Club football; UEFA Champions League.
It is also intriguing to know that, there are five English teams in this year’s second round phase;
Chelsea, Manchester City, Man United, Tottenham and Liverpool.
Real Madrid, Sevilla and Barcelona are from Spanish League.
PSG is the only team remaining as the representative from French League.
Juventus and Roma (Serie A), FC Basel (Swiss League), Besiktas (Turkish League), Bayern (Bundesliga), Portuguese’ Porto, and Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) completed the sixteen teams for the Knock out stages.
As usual, there is always a favorite to win the tournament. Likewise, there is also that surprising team that springs up a shocker. Of course, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern, Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City will always be the team that will come up for a debate on who will definitely be winning this year’s Champions League trophy, come May. But, could unlikely Basel, Shakhtar Donetsk or Besiktas spring up this year’s shocker teams? It is definitely going to be a misery to unravel.
In today’s’ Games (13-02-2018) 8:45pm;
The Swiss Champions, Basel will be locking horns with High Scoring Man City, (under Pep Guardiola), and The Old Lady, Juventus will battle it with Tottenham, who has one of the Best Striker (Harry Kane) in world football today.
Both Games are expected to bring sparkles and Goals.
Tomorrow (14-02-2018)8:45pm;
The Portuguese Porto will fight it hard with the 3 Musketeers (Salah, Mane and Firmino) from Liverpool. Real Madrid and PSG (which is the week Star Match), will be the Battle of Stars and Pride.
Neymar, Mbappe and Cavanni’s combination has been dreadful since the beginning of the Season, and it should be worrisome for the Madridstas.
We can’t leave out the experience of Ramos, Modric, Kroos, Marcelo and the ever monstrous beast in Ronaldo as well. But, one thing that is certain is;
It is definitely going to be a CRACKER!
We will always be here to give you an update, fixtures and everything around UEFA Champions League.
